Mont-Blanc Mont-Noirs Manoirs
Imagine a painting transforming into another painting under the change of the light spectrum.
That was the first challenge I set for myself in this year 2024.
When I was still very young, there was a painting at the end of the hallway at my grandmother's house, towering over me at my tender age.
I wondered, daydreaming in front of it, if it was possible to enter the painting...
We talk about light in painting, but then, if we consider the landscape, what we see as the result of light radiation, it is impossible to reproduce this phenomenon with inert pigments. One would have to paint with photons to reproduce what we see.
My aim, in the creation of my Mansions, was to achieve this wild idea of that young fertile mind of yesteryears; to create windows, passages filled with light, through which, one day perhaps, the Mansions will manage to return home.
