— The Architect of the MANOIRS©.
The discovery of this chemical reaction prompted an in-depth reflection to attempt to reveal what is invisible in these paintings. I had to start by searching for a light source with a very precise frequency. Naturally, this type of lighting for artwork does not exist on the market, not even in the form of bulbs compatible with an art lamp.
To create this specific lighting for my Manoirs, I started from a blank slate. I began by drawing inspiration from universes that have absolutely nothing to do with painting: I visited arcade rooms to observe the complex lighting systems of the games.
For the implementation of this scenography, I began by doing everything myself, spending far more time sawing, gluing, nailing, and wiring than painting. Too many failures, misunderstandings, and pleas for help from electricians and other specialists of all kinds. I no longer knew who I was.
The initial tests were encouraging, but too complex for me to replicate. I needed to continue my research…

Scenography of the Manoirs. Year: 2020
My approach is experimental, like a Sputnik launched into the unfathomable depths of dark matter.
The topic of lighting represents the cornerstone of the Manoirs’ structure. Since 2019, the issue of lighting has been under ongoing research and development.
A method engineer joined me on this adventure. He brought his expertise to the scenography of the Manoirs. His work enabled the creation of one-of-a-kind art lamp prototypes. This synergy led to a genuine exploration and opened up new possibilities. A research and development unit was established.

The result of a collaboration between interactive programming and oil painting, the term avant-garde approach takes on its full meaning here.
“The MANOIRS will place the architect in the firmament alongside that of the alchemist, two constellations seated side by side in the firmament of the MANOIRS.”
Characteristics of the MV5-1_CIAO:
A 365 nm art lamp, self-standing, energy-hybrid, and rechargeable via a magnetic cable. It features a motion detection sensor that triggers, upon the observer’s passage, a programmable lighting algorithm via a USB Type-C port, with multiple programmable and switchable modes accessible through a hidden button.
This is what you will discover at the MANOIRS exhibitions 🦇: windows filled with light illuminating the darkness.
Long live the architect of the MANOIRS©.
